Jon Ren Wildlife Art
Bringing nature to life

About
Jon Ren’s artistic journey began in childhood, sparked by a deep passion for drawing and painting and nurtured under the wing of his father, renowned western artist Chuck Ren. With a natural talent that flourished early on, Jon honed his craft at the Art Institute of Colorado, graduating in 1990. His career took flight as he brought his distinctive vision to life, first creating dynamic team posters for the NFL before evolving into a wildlife artist.
Jon’s portfolio spans an impressive range of subjects, from evocative Native American pieces—echoing his father’s influence—to the wildlife scenes that have become his signature. His work has graced collector plate series, limited-edition prints, and prestigious exhibitions, earning accolades like the 2010 and 2011 Oregon Upland Game Bird Stamp and the 2007, 2010, and 2013 Timber Wolf Alliance Wolf Awareness Week Poster. Today, his original pieces captivate audiences in galleries and art shows nationwide, with a multitude of licensed products and prints available through Wild Wings.
Driven by an abiding love for the natural world, Jon has established himself as a full-time wildlife artist, blending meticulous detail with a profound connection to his subjects. Based in West Virginia with his family, he welcomes commissions, inviting collectors and enthusiasts to bring their own visions to life through his brush.
